Carrie j. Perna

Carrie is a Mindset Coach with over a decade of experience, including five years working directly with professional athletes and high-performing women. Her approach blends clinical insight with lived experience, grounded in more than 25 years as a professional dancer performing in high-stakes, high-pressure environments.

She holds academic training in psychology, cognitive sciences, and mental health coaching from Wellesley College, MIT, and the Headspace Training Institute. Her coaching draws on both evidence-based strategies and a deep understanding of the emotional and physical demands of elite performance.

Carrie knows firsthand what it’s like to chase perfection, endure injury, and face the mental toll of constantly needing to “push through.” Her own turning point came through mastering mental toughness and learning how to overcome setbacks without losing her edge—proving that resilience and performance go hand in hand.

 

Today, she helps athletes and women do the same: build emotional resilience, strengthen their mindset, and thrive in competitive environments without sacrificing their well-being. Whether navigating burnout, injury, or identity loss, Carrie guides her clients with clarity, empathy, and real-world tools that lead to lasting transformation.
